This is just a quick note to let you know that the long awaited 8 Street S.W. CTrain Station will open for service on Friday, December 18, 2009.
We’ll be holding a public event at the new station (between 7 Street SW and 8 Street SW) from 7-9:30am on December 18 to celebrate. Come on down to join in the festivities! Holiday goodies will be provided, and we’ll also be collecting food donations for the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank.
In an effort to promote the event ahead of time, we would like to display the (attached) poster in the lobby of each of your buildings as a reminder to your tenants to stop by the event and bring a food bank donation. Posters are 11 x17 and would be attached with double-sided tape. Please let me know by Friday December 4 if we have your permission to hang the posters. Please also provide locations where we may hang the posters.

Higher gas prices coming our way
Maintenance problems at Shell's Scotford refinery will result in gasoline shortages in Western Canada. As a result we may expect to see steep price climbs at the pump.
